Raveling the SUBCONSCIOUS and CONSCIOUS in moments of harmony.
This "AHA" moment informed the "I know you are, but what am I?" performance installation at the LOFT IN THE RED ZONE Tribute to 9/11 exhibit located in the Historic House of JP Morgan, 23 Wall Street, New York City. Little did "AHA" know this would become a revelatory moment in American history. The Occupy Wall Street movement began a week later a few blocks away at Zuccotti Park. This spark in humanity began raveling the SUBCONSCIOUS/CONSCIOUS of the world.
The movement ran concurrently to the LOFT IN THE RED ZONE exhibit and caused many unforeseen events. LOFT IN THE RED ZONE Tribute to 9/11 exhibit became inaccessible due to police guards at the door. It was decided to have a pop-up exhibit for Occupy Wall Street art and "AHA" performed "Promissory Notes". This "AHA" performance began at Zuccotti Park (the Occupy Wall Street camp) and continued to the pop-up exhibit at the Historic House of JP Morgan (23 Wall Street).
"AHA" would continue their mission performing the next few months under the enthusiastic and consistent encouragement of Marika Maiorava, curator of LOFT IN THE RED ZONE. Marika's belief in the SUBCONSCIOUS and CONSCIOUS collaborating in real time and space, lead "AHA" to the Red October Chocolate Factory in Moscow, Russia to perform during another revelatory time, Russia's highly protested presidential election of 2012.
Since this time in Moscow, the SUBCONSCIOUS (Cerise Tail) has continued the "AHA" mission on her own along with a "guest" CONSCIOUS, in the form of "Houston Bowery" (aka Alexcalibur). Montalagar Grüns began another very important creative mission after Moscow, she become a mother for the second time, and subsequently, third and fourth time. Eventually, SUBCONSCIOUS created a human of her own.

CERISE TAIL (SUBCONSCIOUS) is full blooded Native American Indian. Youngest daughter of long running illustrious politicians, she gleaned most of her basic skills via keen observation and quiet experimentation. Sometimes alone, sometimes in tandem with her sibling.
Bodyguards, bulletproof vests, quick getaways, extreme secrecy, irregular schedules, flying around the country, high profile events, government officials, foreign dignitaries, royalty, celebrities, cocktail parties, forgotten birthdays, unusual pets with unusual deaths, car crashes/collisions. These were mere side effects of political life as a child. Cerise Tail went through training alongside her irregularly scheduled events, which consisted of: Karate, Kung Fu, computer camp, electronics, morse code, map making, ballet, riflery, theology, puppetry, piano, sewing, drawing, painting, sculpting, welding, carpentry, horsemanship, photography, field hockey, sports trainer, downhill skiing, yoga, swimming, connection to the other worlds via direct plug-in and consistent lucid dreaming. She learned to move effortlessly through the ether, always setting up the next move in all directions.
This foundation brought her many other opportunities to elevate her skills. Cerise Tail was placed in a New England preparatory school to move her into the international realm of exclusivity and privilege. She solidified her intuitive ingenuity by attending one of the oldest top rated fine art schools in the country. Which would set the cornerstone for her future assignments in various institutions with innocuous titles. Some examples: childcare, casino work, investment banking, high fashion, health care, research and development, filmmaking, public speaking and government representation.
As nature would have it, the elder Cerise Tail maintains and treasures her nebulous presence. She is always tickled and wide-eyed at the standard grand magic of the species on earth. Her fondness for the adventure and how it fuels her creative endeavors persists. Her consistent companions are of the feline and canine species, along with her portable record taking electronic equipment.

MONTALAGAR GRÜNS (CONSCIOUS) was born to analyze. The first born child of an engineer and a computer programmer, Montalagar had a lot to decipher at an early age. The notion that analysis was merely an option came as a late discovery to her, and under her small enlightenment, she basked. The light in fact would begin to smudge and distort her programmed systems as she progressed into new realms of experience. Through music she followed the mystery of sound, finding herself in small dingy houses that smelled of cigarettes and beer. She listened to loud music and bent guitar strings under the influence of Jimmy Page and Slash. She slept on the floor. She sought refuge in the garage as church, found comfort in amplifiers as choirs.
After many years of travel under the first world, the lingering light remained while the sound was chased. And so Montalagar looked. The experience of sound translation led her to visual translation of experience.
In New York, she experienced the Charles Ives symphony of the machine, and fearing to be a cog, she tied herself to the anchor of Brooklyn to evade the rapid stream of brain soap. Eventually after judging herself to be sufficiently grounded, she established a Chelsea art studio where she would retreat to focus on translating the smells of gasoline, cigarettes and despair. To keep her spirits up, she started a Styx cover band. Yes it was awesome.
Then one day, while on a project to uncover some historically significant anger in a subject upstate, Montagalar encountered for the first time, Cerise

"Houston Bowery" was first sighted by Cerise Tail performing at Arlene's Grocery in NYC. It was the most viscerally attuned creative force since her art school days.
As time would have it, they became fast friends and collaborators. Dreaming, Cat sitting, Editing, Road Tripping, Festival Going, International Traveling, Theatre Going, Art Openings, Gigs and walking/talking getting lost in the liminal spaces.
Finally, culminating into the collaboration in Moscow, Russia for "1962-2012 Exhibit". Where he performed "Undergournd Shelter" with Cerise. They brought both of their signature styles together. Which crossed time and space between their worlds.
A few years later, Cerise was informed of his crossing over. It was a very sad day for her. She will always treasure the shared creations and laughter.

EDUCATION - writing and directing film and television, Russian State University of Film in Moscow and Columbia University in NY.
Operated private fashion label in NYC, specialized in design and production of women's designer clothing and accessories; experienced in film, theatre and television production. Creates visual and conceptual art. In 2009 debuted in contemporary art with a group show on a Collateral Event of the 53 Venice Biennale; and a multi-media solo exhibition at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art.
